| Lowe's has what is called a Lowe's Hero program. Different organizations submit their need & Lowe's will decide which one to help. Normally they donate the labor as well. We submitted a letter for the Nurse's Station. About 3 weeks ago they called & explained, that since we are so far from Roseburg that they were not able to do the Lowe's Hero program but they had a pallet of ceramic wall tile to give us. When we went to Lowe's they not only had one pallet but 4 pallets. Well over a $1,000 in tile. Enough to do the showers in the new cabin ,we hope to build this fall, & enough to redo at least one restroom in the Dining Hall Basement. If you shop at Lowe's in Roseburg & think of it, ask to speak to Shane [a manager] or Carlos or Robbie in shipping & receiving & thank them for their contribution to Kellogg Springs Camp. |
