Job Title: Program Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Full-Time Salary Employee
Summary
Kellogg Springs Camp is owned and operated by the Oregon Pacific District Church of the Nazarene.The Program Director helps to further the vision and mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of Programming activities. Kellogg Springs Camp exists so all ages can experience creation, encounter Christ’s love, and expect transformation. The Program Director designs and delivers Programming activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities. The Program Director also provides direct oversight to the Summer Staff interns.

• Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Have experience working well on a team, relate and work well with others.
• Possess supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinate staff.
• Be passionate about Christian Camping.
• Have knowledge of Programming activities and Challenge Course activities.
• Have the ability to accept guidance, direction and supervision.
• Have excellent communication, organizational and people skills.
• Be a self-starter, flexible and the ability to multi-task.
• Be willing to live in a camp setting and willing to work long hours in the summer and irregular hours during the rest the year.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee and provide leadership to all of the Programming activities and Challenge Course activities.
• Ensure that camp staff and campers know and follow safety and educational procedures during Programming activities.
• Develop and implement schedules and records of maintenance and inspections for all areas of Programming activities.
• Oversee daily, quarterly and annual inspections of the Program areas and equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.
• Develop and supervise the Summer Staff interns, their schedule and responsibilities.
• Develop new Programming and Challenge Course activities by working with the Capital Improvements Director on the construction of these activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
• This position requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing and other uses of the senses. While performing the duties of this job, an employee is required to frequently use hands and fingers and possess efficient means of communicating with others.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• The working environment for this position is a combination of an indoor office and building setting as well as outdoors featuring extreme heat and cold. The camp is located on a steep hill, and you must be able to move around the premises.
• This position requires living onsite year-round on the campground and housing is included in the salary package.
